Taxi Girl
It 's easy to start talking about this film by saying that director
Tarantini shoots Fenech's breasts already in the headlines. A good
start isn’t? A start that can suggest to us, that this is a very
bad movie of the “sexy Italian comedy”.
Instead we want to go further, we want to find the intellectual side of
a movie in which the director Tarantini shoots Fenech's breasts already
in the headlines.
We want to elevate ourselves, and as serious critics could say "Taxi
Girl" is a "Spin-off" from the "La Poliziotta Fa Carriera". Very
professionally, we remind you that "La Poliziotta Fa Carriera" is
inspired by "La Poliziotta" by Steno, which is a parody of
“polizieschi” and “poliziotteschi”.
Oh, okay, we're doing too much precision for such a film whose director
Tarantini shoots Fenech's breasts already in the headlines. A movie
that never rises far and continues with a series of hyper zany gags,
sometimes very easy, sometimes nice and especially with an ending that
would be surreal, but is thrown away in a bad way.
"Taxi Girl" let us say it’s a worthy a bad movie of the
“sexy Italian comedy”. Trash enough, just does not overflow
into the pathetic. Could be better, could become a masterpiece, because
the basic idea, a parody of the "polizieschi" and "poliziotteschi" is
not bad at all.
Tarantini, however exaggerate losing the thread as it progresses,
arriving at the end in an explosion of stupidity. And it's a bit 'a
waste considering that he hand a stellar cast for the genre. In
addition to the magnificent Edwige (which Tarantini shoots her breast
already in the opening credits) there are Alvaro Vitali, here a little'
squashed to tell the truth, Gianfranco D'Angelo, Aldo Maccione, Enzo
Cannavale, Giacomo Rizzo, far from his artistic appreciation, George
Hilton and two luxury shoulders like Michele Gammino and Franco Diogene.
The story talk about of Marcella, precocious and talented driver who
has a love affair with Ramon (George Hilton) Latin heartthrob, married
to an old hag. Our Marcella, going on up and down on hher taxi runs
into two criminals (Aldo Maccione and Giacomo Rizzo) who are the bad
photocopy of Toto and Peppino. At this point the astute police chief
played by Enzo Cannavale use our Marcella to fall into the trap the two
criminals, in the meantime a policeman (Michael Gammino) falls madly in
love with her. Satire and parody on detective as already said, the
queen Edwige central point of all history, which is surrounded by an
infinite number of citations and some situations of meta-cinema gags.
Definitely not a film to be missed, but it is significant only for the
fact that the director Tarantini, shoot ... ok ... you already know.
