Violencia Na Carne

-I'm an economist and work in management.

- You're an economist?

-I am.

-A bunch of parasites. All you’ve done is derail the development of this country.

-What did we do wrong?

-You lied the whole time regarding the horrendous state of social justice...

-On the basis of completely arbitrary economic decisions.

-You didn't do anything to achieve a more just distribution of income...A more balanced, more democratic income

We have said and we repeat, we didn’t like "La Settima Donna", because it's a bad movie with a poor plot and pathetic acting.
So "Violencia Na Carne" which is nothing more than its Brazilian version, and therefore, is a copy of a copy, should be a movie that we dislike. But we prefer much more this one than the Prosperi’s movie . It may seem strange, because here things aren’t better, indeed, perhaps the acting is worse as well, but what makes us appreciate it (more) is that there seems there isn’t the desire to create a good movie. No, "Violencia Na Carne" proudly shows his trashy side with scenes quite comic, characters who are caricatures and a remarkable aura taken directly from the melodramatic telenovelas .
"Rape & Ravenge"? More or less yes, but without the drama of other episodes. Work milder contaminated (to speak well) from other genres led perhaps by the many ideas (always to speak well about him), by Alfredo Sternheim a director who created many different movies from drama to porn . In addition he is also a nice mix, born to a German father and a Moroccan mother both Jewish.
Sternheim also adds a social criticism, describing the leader of the "bad" as a good character, against the system (see opening sentences) and led to the margins of the society because of an injustice.
For the rest the line is the one of "La Settima Donna" and other films of the genre. We find three criminals on the run who end up in a villa where they take hostage the people, raping women and beating up men and other very bad things .
Here in the carioca version the three end up in the house because the next day from the nearby beach, leave of a ship for a new world. The victims are all artists instead, a couple of are actresses, one is a dancer, there is a gay and a producer. All united by art , but also from the fact that they have a few skeletons in the closet, something irrelevant to the story, but perhaps that is another aspect of the social criticism of this movie. A final incredibly melodramatic , closes this movie starring some famous brazilian actors.
