Zombie Massacre
It’s enough to say that there is the infamous Uwe Boll as producer (and makes a cameo), to understand in what world we are. And if it is not enough, just see the first few minutes to understand that we are in one of those episodes for lovers of a certain cinema. That is, those films that travel on the parody of American action films, which are set in Eastern Europe but the skyline betrays it making us understand that we are in Italy (more precisely in Tuscany).
Those works that need some taste trash to appreciate various things: the irony that affects the typical action characters, those beautiful infected zombies and a series of scenes that make everything more enjoyable. As they tell us in this interview a few years ago, Ristori and Boni soon find themselves in a new work with the German producer after the success of "Eaters". More precisely in a zombie movie in which a group of mercenaries paid by the United States has to clean up in an area of a Romanian city (Rojznov) full of zombies generated by something that has escaped control.

So Jack Stone, former military lifer, expert in high-risk missions, John McKellen "the specialist", an expert in explosives, Dragan Ilic the sniper and Shizuka, the only female expert in hand-to-hand combat and white weapons, jump into this area, in great secret and above all unaware of the usual plans and against political plans. The mission is not naturally easy and is full of risks, starting with very bad zombies, government traps and meetings with new characters.

With a livid cinematography and more than well-made zombies, "Zombie Massacre" is an enjoyable film for the genre, between irony (a lot) and horror. A production that tries not to leave anything to chance and to use the CGI in a wise way.

Unfortunately, however, the excess of parodying action movies, leads us to a river of words that slowly slow down the whole story, putting in the shade what is good.

Too bad, because we can see a great love for cinema.
